At BEAT Children’s Theatre, we believe in the power of theatre to inspire and empower youth!

Through creativity, self-confidence, and positive relationships, theatre provides a meaningful path for young people to figure out who they want to be in the world. We support youth across Central Oregon through performances, classes, camps, and outreach programs that bring the magic of theatre to life.

Each season, BEAT offers many opportunities for students and the community to engage with the performing arts. We produce three to four main stage shows annually, giving 100–150 students the chance to shine on stage. In addition, we offer 15–20 camps and classes each year, serving 300–400 young artists.

Beyond the stage, we reach even further—providing artist-in-residence programs in Central Oregon schools, bilingual programming, and community theatre game nights. Our Cultural Student Productions help make live theatre accessible by underwriting low-cost tickets for elementary students on fieldtrips, with up to 2,400 students attending each year.

Thanks to growing interest, demand for our programs now exceeds our capacity—which is a great challenge to have! With your support, we can grow to meet that demand: reducing waitlists, expanding our teaching staff and space, and continuing to keep participation and ticket costs family-friendly.
