At Bend Bikes, we’re a grassroots, all-volunteer nonprofit rooted right here in Bend. Our mission is to make it safe and convenient for everyone to walk, ride, and roll—whether that’s to work, school, the store, or just around town. We believe Bend should have a complete, connected network of bike-friendly routes, and we work hard to make that vision a reality. Through advocacy and collaboration with City leadership, we bring the voices of families, everyday riders, and our diverse community to the table. We are especially committed to ensuring that transportation planning is inclusive, equitable, and safe for people who are often left out.
We also know that biking is about more than just getting from one place to another—it’s about creating connections and creating a healthier, more sustainable future. The most vulnerable among us—children, older adults, and those with fewer resources—are at greater risk when our streets prioritize cars over people. That’s why we push for changes that make our streets safer and more accessible to all people. Every bike ride helps reduce pollution, cut congestion, and strengthen our community. Together, we’re working toward a Bend where everyone can comfortably walk, ride, and roll, knowing that biking is a safe, practical, and joyful option for daily life.
